The problem with dopamine is it is like a narcotic. The more you use it, the more you need more to equal the same effect. Drugs like coke and meth fool the brain in to releasing insane amounts of dopamine. But the body quickly gets use to it and then needs more dopamine to equal the same effect. That's why most additions spiral out of control. What use to take a little becomes a little more and a little more and before you know it, it becomes a whole lot more. If it was not for this tolerance that builds up, drug additions would not be half as bad as they are.
So to answer your question, I don't think there is a limit to dopamine. On meth you can be high for 2 days. Only problem is next time your going to need more to equal the same high. The real trick which has not been accomplished yet, is to bypass the tolerance we build up.
