Hi Everyone

I am totally stressed out about my academic performance at school. I wake up every morning even on weekends with a major anxiety attack. I lay in bed wondering if I am capable of succeeding in the program. Then I have parnoiaed thoughts about whether or not I have properly done citations correctly for my assignments.

The stress has gotten so bad that I have had thoughts of taking a sleeping pill during the day to numb myself up.

I need help!

Zen888 is very sad and stressed out.

Ok. Take a deep breath. Now, trust that you wouldn't have gotten this far without achieving a certain level of ability. One thing builds on another.

You can definitely do this. It seems overwhelming because it's different, that's all. Mistakes are ok. Without them, there is no learning.

If you don't do well on a paper, go to the professor and ask for help. Seeing professors in their office was the best thing I ever learned in college.

Next, if you've been given a syllabus, get a big sheet of paper and map out deadlines for when papers or projects are due. It really helps.

Finally, ask for help. Do you need to know how to do a citation? I can help you with that. Just know that you can do this. You have all the smarts. You just need to relax.
