Columbia Journalism Review, on the last page of every issue, runs "The Lower Case" -- unintentionally funny items that actually ran in newspapers. You get $25 if you send one in, but I haven't found any whoppers in the Milwaukee paper yet. I had to share my favorite "oops," though, from the Los Angeles Times, Sept. 4:

Psychotic Engineered
Mice to Help Research

:-) Apparently there's room for the mentally ill in ALL professions! :-)

These misplaced modifiers are my favorite of all goofs in English! Add the incorrect punctuation and you're ROFL.
