I was laying on the couch this afternoon relaxing and the phone rang. Someone from church called someone I didn't recognize but then again that is possible because I go to a big church but anyway they said that they heard about a website I might be interested in and gave it to me and said they'd call me back in a few days to see what I thought of it. I just checked it out thinking it was something to do with one of the problems I'm having right now NOPE!! It's a multi level marketing company thing. I am upset thinking that they thought they could do this. I am wondering how many people they called. I don't have the money to invest in this and even if I did I wouldn't. I kind of feel violated.

That's definitely not something anyone through the church should be doing. If you feel up to it, give the church office a call and let them know someone's doing this. They might be using the church directory, and that's not generally approved. If you still have the website addy, give it to the church secretary also. (But then, she might be the one doing this!) I'm not surprised at anything some people use church for!

It sounds to me like this person had a telephone list from your church. You should see if other members have had this problem. Make sure the church office is aware of it, too.
If the person actually does call back, make sure you tell them to put your number on their Do Not Solicit list. bfG |

I think the term is "blindsided".
