I was looking to see how many posts it takes to reach each stage ie member, veteran member, grand member, etc. and every single one it's like 100, 300, 500, except for poohbah and it's 1009 why one thousand and NINE? and not just 1000?!?!?!?! Sorry just a bored inquiring mind!

I have a question. Why are SO many folks registered but only a small minority of us make posts?

Some people maybe register to make one post, then leave... others get bored with the site and move on... others turn up once every few months or so... some just go to chat and never post... some lurk... some wait until they feel they are safe enough here to post... etc etc... there are lots of reasons.

Hi SpazKat -- Oddly enough, I noticed the same thing @ the 1009 -- just this past week. I am hoping to make Poobah. Love that word. Had a std. poodle I called the grand poobah. And he was. Also a local glitter rock band when I was young called Poohbah.

Anyway, once I am a Poohbah, I have to stop posting bec. I don't want to be a magnate or all that other stuff.

Well, you'll still have 991 posts before you become a Magnate, since you go through the title of Grand Poohbah as well...

I think it means a potentate, kind of associated connotatively with the "pashas" of the east, sitting on flying carpets with jeweled turbans, smoking hookahs ----

Ha ha ha, I actually liked the 1009, after all, we are all "mental" here... we have to be the odd ball to reach certain levels, right?
