I am going to Little Rock today to meet with my surgeon that will be doing my hernia repair as well as my tummy tuck. I am hoping that my insurance will pay for the tummy tuck as it isn't a cosmetic thing it is medically necessary as I get these horrible rashes in the folds of my skin and it is just horrible and unsafe. I have documentation for the rashes that I will be taking with me to Little Rock so that when they contact my insurance company they will be able to send this info with the request. I am nervous though because when I weighed yesterday in my T's office I was 4lb 2oz's off my doc's goal of 250 that he was requring of him doing my surgery. I am scared he will deny me of my surgery because I am not at 250. On one hand I don't think he will because I am so close but on the other hand I fear he might but am trying to stay upbeat.
So please think of me today as I go to Little Rock. Jan

My appointment went well. We discussed the surgeries and since I wanted to do both surgeries at the same time and I didn't have any pictures of my rash we decided to put them off until I had pictures of my rash for insurance purposes. So next time I get my rash I am to let it get really gross and then take pics and send them down to him. He also wants me to lose about 30 more pounds that way I will be closer to my goal weight when he does the tummy tuck. He drew me a picture of how he will do it and told me I will be in the hospital 3-4 days. I expected that.
He pressed all around on my hernia and when he pressed down on the hernia it popped itself back down and stayed down for about an hour and I was laughing to myself maybe I just press down on it every morning and then I won't need the surgery LOL. I weighed about what my scale in my T's office says just a bit more but I was wearing a heavy sweater as it was cold out today and even the nurse weighing me said if I had taken it off I would have weighed a bit less. Thanks for all the kind thoughts today I shouldn't have been all worked up as Dr. Baker is cool. Jan
