Cantstop....I have great trouble sleeping, but must get up at 6 a.m. each morning regardless of what the night has been, to go to work. Today, at my job, I walked around like a zombie, feeling like i had been beaten up.
Yeah, insomnia sucks! Oh...I love the Orange Blossom's "fuzzy purple thing!"

Hey, sounds like me! I'm up every morning at 6 even if I just fell asleep at 5:30! I put make up on, did my hair, etc and people still are telling me I look terrible. (Gotta love those comments!!). I've tried turning my clock around so I don't see what time it is, I've tried closing my eyes and just relaxing, I've tried reading, I've tried getting up and out of the bedroom, I've tried I've tried I've tried. I don't do well with sleep aids because I have to function the next day. Most times I can go to sleep ok--it's staying asleep for more than 1-2 hours that is impossible. I am ready to drop right now, but I still have another 4 hours at least at work then an hour drive home. Yawn Yawn Yawn!!!

gimmeice, sorry if I drooled!

Can'tstop...Oh gosh...you sound so much like me. Like you say, sleep aids make it hard to function at work the next day, though I do resort to them frequently. The quality of sleep is not good, though, and I'm listless and tired all the next day.
I have a long history of sleep dysfunction, stemming from childhood. I recognize this, realize the history of it, but that doesn't stop me from dreading bedtime. Because of this, I'm wondering if your history with sleep has been good, ever, or if you have had difficulty with it for a long time?
One thing that has helped me in the past is exercise...not before bedtime, but several hours before. I'm just too tired for now to engage in it.

Your shoulder is definitely comfy, gimmeice. I need about 3000 of your shoulders to make up for all my sleepless nights!
