Last night, as I mentioned previously, I awoke and couldn't sleep, thinking about my daughter and her family (husband and 6 year old twins) moving to Turkmenistan. I am so grateful for all the loving feedback I've rec'd here. I truly have no one to talk to about this, and so PC is my refuge for such concerns.
I've spent some time looking at websites describing the area to which they are moving, and it actually looks like it could be a grand adventure for them. They are excited about this. I called my daughter and talked to her again this evening, and we had a good conversation. They are going, so I will have to live with this.
Also, I have to mention, that I have abandoned my spiritual life in the past 4 years, and I was touched by some of you mentioning this as a resource for strength and comfort. I think it was/is these sincere responses, including the ones offering spiritual comfort, that has made the difference in my attitude...allowing me to relinquish the anxiety I was feeling.
Thanks and love to you all.
Patty

I'm so glad you are feeling better about your daughters trip overseas. You have worked hard to get through your difficulties with this and to come to a calmer place. I'm also glad you had such wonderful support and help here. But please don't forget it was YOUR hard work and determination to get to a better spot that moved you along the way

Patty hon I am so happy for you! I know without having that spiritual connection I just don't know where I would be today. It helps me thru my daily life. Maybe you could even go visit your daughter there and get in some of that adventure with the twins!

I'm so glad you're feeling better! I don't know how long they'll be there, but perhaps you'll go and visit. It sounds like you and you're daughter have a good healthy relationship.
