Today as I sit and look about the forums I am overwhelmed by the love of this community. WMD is being shown so much love and compassion and it really warms the heart. You just don't find it in this world much anymore. I am so proud to be a part of such a loving group of people here at pc. It let's me know that I can always count on my family here when I need them or when anyone else needs them. My husband and I have sort of adopted corky as a part of our extended family in the last few months. Some of you had talked to Donna on the phone as I had also. Some never heard her voice but still the outpouring of love is truely felt. I want to thank each and everyone of you for being who you are. I am honored to call you all my family.

but what I am really talking about is the love here at pc. when we think no one cares they come thru.

I understand that, just trying to explain why I think this is a personal thing. Even before talking to Donna I felt I knew her. She was quite a part of our virtual community.

I felt the love too, bebop, when my mom died. Actually, I'm still feeling it and can tap into it whenever I'm feeling alone.

You know, I never really read his thread about family history of cancer because I knew it was about breast cancer. That is a hard, hard issue for me. Now I feel so selfish that I couldn't put aside my fear and get to know donna better and offer comfort and friendship to wmd through that post. When I finally forced myself to read it after reading DocJohns post, I have barely stopped crying. For Donna, for corky, for me being selfish and not offering support sooner. I am amazed at the love they gave each othr through times that "tough" doesn't even begin to describe. Within minutes of DocJohn's post, the love felt on pc was incredible. Thank God for this place.

cantstop hon don't beat yourself up like this. there are many post that I see that I just can't read. I don't dare step into the abuse threads about mothers. I just can't do it. no one expects us to put ourselves in a situation of hurt.
the love here is so amazing! I feel very fortunate to have been associated with Doc John for many years here and his old website.

(((can't))) it's not being selfish, it is self care. You cannot help others when you are in a bad place yourself. I think it's fair to say that both Donna and Corky understand the need for self care.

You all may not realize this or even believe me, but everyday, I wake up and give thanks for the opportunity to be able to provide a "home" for you all here. I am thankful for each and every one of you and the support and caring you provide for...
