"Three years ago, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) gave the United States a D for its mental health care system for adults. The new report, it said, shows only marginal progress -- not enough to warrant a better grade."

this news is frightening but being in the "system" as a client/patient makes me not very surprised how bad this is. thanks for the info. wonder who really will make a difference with this low score in the mental health industry?

Not surprising, my state got a B apparently. Not a surprise because we (thank god) have a lot of resources

...because we sort of need them, I can't speak for other states, but it seems every day you open the newspaper and there is always some article about a rapist or child abuser or spouse beating person getting jail time or facing charges, and the shelters for abused women and children just keep getting fuller
