I would like for everyone here to give the Corps of Engineers and FEMA a round of applause.
They have taken away the monies alloted to correct their faulty levees and to rebuild them here in St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parish. Every single cent. They have deemed us worthless. Makes us feel worthless. But, you know what. We dont need their help, as they havent even helped us yet. Of those of us that came back and the others along the gulf coast from Brownsville, Texas to the Florida Keys we dont need the govt to put their hand out to us in any way or form. Cause it will only be slapped away. We'll turn them around and kick them in their asss. We know how to fight and our fight is to save our community. Thats where our hearts stand. |
