(This gets five gold stars from me!!! Choosing to act )

You can worry, and your constant focus on the negative possibilities will help to make them real. Or you can take action, and your worries will quickly fade away as you get busy creating a positive reality.

You can complain about life's unfairness, and your negative attitude will prevent you from seeing the best opportunities. Or you can take action, and the valuable opportunities open to you will grow more numerous and more accessible with each moment.

You can wait for things to be perfect before moving forward, and you'll end up letting life pass you by. Or you can go ahead and take action, transforming what you already have, as imperfect as it may be, into even greater abundance.

You can take comfort in never making a mistake by never venturing out, but then you'll never make any progress either. Or you can take action, and even though there will be some mistakes along the way, they'll be outweighed by the many worthwhile achievements.

You can remain bitter and angry over what has already happened, and by so doing you'll extend your misfortune even longer. Or you can take action, and move yourself to a more positive, more fulfilling place.

You can choose to do nothing, but you're not going to like the results. Or you can choose to take action, and to create a life that's filled with purpose, meaning and real fulfillment.

-- Ralph Marston

Who is this Ralph Marston guy....I see him posted here a lot...usually by you (?). Choosing to act Maybe I should check him out. Choosing to act

Once again...you are right. My 91 year old uncle told me at his 90th birthday problem...if you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. He must know something after 90 years...a happy family...and the respect of a community.

Thanks again for posting this! Choosing to act

I get these daily motivations in my email. When I get one that pokes me in the side, I post it. LOL

To tell you the truth, I don't know much about him except that I like his "motivators." No doubt an internet search of his name would turn something up. A friend of mine signed me up for the emails so I'm ignorant of any info on him. Choosing to act

This is awesome. Thanks for posting it. I am getting stuck in not wanting to do anything for fear I will fail miserably but I see now that if I don't ever do anything I can't succeed at anything either.

Choosing to act Ugh... yeah, but almost EVERYTHING is easier said than done if you think about it.

This put into words something I was trying to say in my own convoluted way to someone. One of these days maybe I'll learn how to get to the point without writing the great american novel Choosing to act

LMAO! I know what you mean. It took a course in poetry writing for me to learn to "be thrifty" with my words. Choosing to act

My pastor wrote in a weekly newsletter that overcoming, moving back into the mainstream of life is like the Hokey Pokey... you put your right foot in, you take your right foot out. He is dealing with grief and slowly getting back into work. But it could apply to this too. You start with one foot, and eventually you put your whole self in. The Hokey Pokey is one of those stupid little jingles in life, and one time I saw a bumper sticker that mused 'what if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about'. I used to laugh at that. But if you think about it, it is a healthy approach to healing and achieving.... you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, and that's what it's all about.

Oh yeah! I like the Marsden motivator and I like the Hokey Pokey analogy. I kinda feel like if anything seems too easy, it's probably going downhill. Choosing to act
