I didn't know where to put this thread... so I apologize.

Does anyone have a special place that they like to go to when they need time to themselves? Some go shopping (I do that when I have a little extra cash to spend), or some go for a walk, or a bike ride....

I love to go to our local art museum. It's very quiet and calming and I learn something new every single time I go. The best part: it's free.

I also like to go take a walk at a park near my house that has long, gorgeous trails and a beautiful waterfall in the center of it all.

Not to sound morbid, but I enjoy going to the cemetery and sitting next to my mom's grave and just talking a one-sided conversation with her.

And of course, at home, I love to be on my big sectional couch with my fleece blankies and my dogs all around me, or in bed with a good book and my dogs

"How can I feel abandoned, even when the world surrounds me;
How can I bite the hand that feeds the strangers all around me;
How can I know so many; never really knowing anyone;
If I seem superhuman I have been Misunderstood."

Thanks for this!

The local library (a very big, very well-equipped one) and the quiet park outside it.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
