Hi,
Has anyone else gone to a peer recovery center?
A couple years ago one opened near where I went to college. I spent a lot of time there especially in the summers to get out of my parents house.
It was really cool. They were open almost every weekday, and we could get dinner there and stuff.
Everyone there had some sort of diagnosis, and it was like we all understood each other in a way even though our experiences were different.
There were many support groups there that were also helpful.
I'll miss going there this summer as I'm moving. Does anyone know of anything like this in Chicago or nearby towns?
Thanks.
