I saw some studies that say its antioxidant effects can have benefits for mental illness, so I got some today, and I'm hoping to see some improvement.

It hasn't been any more than three days, but *knock on wood* I have more energy, and my mind feels less jumbled and overwhelmed. Maybe I'd feel this way anyway, but I'm seeing an improvement. I'm trying it in conjuction to Effexor, btw.

It takes a couple weeks for the NAC to work. I was on it last year, but it became too expensive. My pdoc wants me back on it since I'm not taking all my meds b/c I'm trying to get pregnant. It occurs naturally in the body so it's ok to take while pregnant.
