You just started, right? It can take awhile to see a difference. I usually could tell after 4, but my husband needed extra treatments to get to that point. It is very individual. Just tell the doc how you are doing when he asks. He's just assessing.

Ask the doctor what he is looking for, what he anticipates "better" will look like in your case?

I have ECT next to a lady who was catatonic and now she is awake, smiling and talking. In a way, I wanted to have that same experience. I wanted the suicidal thoughts to be gone, I wanted euphoria. I have my 5th treatment tomorrow.......maybe that will be the day.

It can take some time. Try not to compare your reaction to someone else's.
