Can anyone suggest any reliable books on the following subjects, please?

* Emotional Intelligence
* Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
* Communications skills (assertiveness, negotiation, and persuasion)
* Mindfulness (daily practice, not the sitting meditation kind)

I am looking for how-to books which offer approaches a person can implement themselves, rather than anything purely theoretical.

My T likes The Mindful Way Through Depression for mindfulness. I've read it and it does have the mindfulness exercises (even comes with a CD), but it also talks about incorporating mindfulness through everyday living. I'm not a mindfulness fan myself, but it wasn't the book's fault.
Thanks for this!

The Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Workbook by McKay, Wood & Brantley
Mind Over Mood (workbook) by Greenberger & Padesky

Both of these are very good at helping you to understand and because they are workbooks they are specific to you.
Thanks for this!
