I don't think of them all in the same way. Are there some particular ones that you're considering?

I've used a few types of Nootropics (brain pills) and I think it depends on the quality of the Nootropic in question. I think the benefit also depends on other factors such as your nutritional intake and what you do throughout the day.

I've used this one and noticed a solid improvement towards my mental clarity, ability to retain information, and focus: Bulletproof CILTEP Nootropic Stack

The bulletproof site that that product is sold on also has some amazing knowledge for those seeking to improve their mind and body by natural means and I find the information especially valuable to those with mental illnesses who have had negative experiences with the psychiatric system and prescription medication.

Keep in mind that they are a bit pricey, however. I think they're amazing though and I wish I could afford more right now.

DarknessIsMyFriend, with respect I am sceptical about the link that you provided.

It uses a lot of impressive-sounding "sciency" phrases (Long-Term Potentiation and intracellular second messengers are examples) - both have precise meanings for biomedical scientists.

I can't find any evidence in that link that the various products that it sells have any effect on Long-Term Potentiation and intracellular second messengers.

I was merely speaking from experience; nothing more. Obviously there are a lot of factors to consider when choosing products such as those sold on that site. What may work for somebody may not have any impact on somebody else.

I'm too tired to get into any technical details regarding this topic right now because I haven't had much sleep in the last several days, so I will simply suggest anybody interested in any supplements to either do the research themselves on credible scientific websites or to simply consult a physician.
