My Pdoc is going to check on the possibility of me doing maintenance ECT on Monday. I am a little torn on the idea. ECT seems to be the only thing that has worked for me but I can't handle the memory issues that it caused. But I am hoping that with maintenance ECT being less frequent that there really won't be memory problems.
Has anyone had experience with maintenance ECT? How often did you go? How long did you do it for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm having maintenance ECT now after having about 12 treatments. I go once a week as an outpatient. I get ultra brief unilateral treatments and the memory loss isn't as bad as I expected. I do see some improvement. Good luck!

Are you able to work while getting maintenance ECT?

I get maintenance ECT once every two weeks. I too get the ultra brief, although I get bilateral treatments. I am able to go back to work after the treatments. They have worked wonderfully.
Take care! |

I am having my first maintenance ECT on the 31st. I will be having them every 2-4 weeks for 6 months. Unfortunately they said I have to have them on Tuesdays after the holidays are over so that means I will be out of work Tuesday and Wednesday those weeks. I was really hoping to have them done on Fridays.

Sorry Friday didn't work for them. Stinks to miss that much work.
