So I know my ECT is affecting my memory because I just realized I forgot to take my medication before bed tonight. Luckily I'm having insomnia right now and I just realized that. I take 8 medications for my depression before bed. I also misplaced my doctors note for work and I can't remember. There were a couple other things I forgot too but I forgot what those were...lol. So yes ECT "electric shock therapy" does affect your memory if anyone is wondering, it is truly a side effect.

Are you currently taking treatments? Or, how long ago since you did so.

I still have trouble with small things and short term memory but this is on account of all the medications I take; I suffered this before the treatments.

However, it's been a year since them and I am still pretty foggy about everything during that time period.

I have ECT every 2 things and I have for 3 years, minimal memory loss. In fact I go to work right after the treatment, I think this actually helps my memory.
