I have been investigating nutrition to improve my health, but don't want to take supplements. The more information I come across, the less safe I view "functional medicine" as a medical treatment because it's not. It's some chiropractor or nutritionist charging you $$ of dollars to buy their supplements, and believe their claims that they can cure you 100% of your condition or disease (which they can't do). I believe in science-based medicine (not pharmaceuticals, though, which I view as separate).
