Will emdr bring out repressed memories?

Hard to say. For me, I did recover some memories, but those memories lost their power over me through EMDR. Before EMDR, the events in my past had power over me even though I couldn't remember them.

Doing EMDR allows you to reprocess the memories that we’re stored incorrectly when you were experiencing whatever your traumatic event was. It may take more than one session but you are then able to think of the memory with out it being as disturbing or disturbing at all depending where you are in the processs
