At the beginning of this month, I went really overboard on SH like I did about 4 years ago and was put on a 72 hr hold and had emergency surgery. After I was medically cleared, the hospital psychiatrist dropped the hold and I was released. I ended up back in the hospital a week later with a surgical site infection and stayed for a few more days. The drs there and my pcp both asked several times during that stay if I needed IP treatment again. I declined and talked to my therapists. Both agreed that IP is more for acute crisis not constant stress like what I have.

That said
Possible trigger:
I have told my Ts that I've messed with it but haven't told them how bad it actually is. And I haven't sought treatment or told my Ts the full truth because my husband keeps saying how we can't afford him to miss work because of what I did and I'm afraid that I'll automatically get put in IP if I see my dr about it...thats exactly what happened last time 4 years ago. I'm just at a complete loss.
