Okay sooo..at what weight does a person have to be to be hospitalised? Your own opinionn please..

I don't think you'll get an exact answer here, if that's what you're looking for. I suspect the answer is highly individual and that many factors go into a Dr's recommendation on IP.
If I were a Dr, I'd look at if BMI had fallen to an unhealthy range, if a person's period had stopped, if they couldn't be trusted to eat on their own or alternately were binging to the point that it was detrimental to their health. splitimage |

There is no magic number that will guide you. If things are out of your control and you need help go. Sometimes we listen too much to what is going on inside our mind. Ask a doctor or Therapist or Psychiatrist what they think.
Okay, so I read the other post and what you said. Sometimes being an inpatient takes time to settle in. You are there for you not others who have had the time to establish themselves. Each person will be dealing with many issues you just can't see it. It never is about the number but what is really going on inside your head. |
