My psychiatrist and I figured out that it has been exactly 5 years to the day since my last admission. He doubts I'll ever have another one. After 25 years, I have wrestled with gaining insight, trusting my psychiatrist, knowing when I need help, and knowing when to ask for it before the illnesses spill out of control. WOW, 5 years, no admission. It's been a long learning curve.

Congratulations! Yes learning coping skills can be a long process but it's so worth it. Again congratulations!
