And I don't have a

I will think twice before
Asking for help from anyone,
From fear of being
The butt of a joke.
I will buy one when the chance arises.

It's not me who should
Have had to apologise
For firing back
At power trippers.

I explain to them:
No. I did not discontinue
My tablet because
I was on the verge
Of being made homeless.

I know that is how a lot of people talk,
About any condition.
Some people think having
Dyslexia or ADD means someone has
"something wrong with them."
But your own family and partner,

No, they don't have something wrong with them. It is a mood disorder.
They have bipolar,
The are not bipolar or a manic depressive.
This famous person has the same as them.
Creative people often have
These types of disorders
But they are perfectly fine.

Saw me as unfixable "damaged goods"
Because of all the
Local conspiracy theories.
Some spoke about
Me as if my life was over

I had grown apart
From my friends
Because I had
Been in rehab.
It was all my fault. Not true.
It was the stigma outside
Of rehab that made
It impossible to get
My life back together.
Combine this with,
Having a possessive partner
And an unsupportive family,
It all left me adrift, and
Having to find my own way back.

To manage the bipolar.
Speaking about the past
And past relationships. Yes.
I cannot change
Other people's views and perceptions.
So talking about stigma
And not falling
Out with loved ones. Another yes.

security analyst, an environmental scientist.
