Would it be possible for a non-violent person with intrusive thoughts and lack of empathy to be able to go to a mental health ward/building to see what options I can take to get my issues set out?

I would like to live the normal life I used too in spring-summer 2019, I hope it is possible as my intrusive thoughts aren't much intrusive anymore but I still want them gone and too see if I can get diagnosed or learn empathy so I don't become violent.
