I had a phone session with my psychiatrist yesterday, and finally got him to understand the magnitude of my depression.

He wants me to try light therapy, and my psych hospital provides them free to people on disability insurance and then bills the gov't.

Now I'm just waiting for him to let me know what day to go into the hospital next week to meet him to collect it.

Can't wait to try it.

splitimage, that's excellent! What a nice break. I paid $40 for my light box, and it's not very big. Good luck with it!

Well I picked up my light box, and it's pretty nice. It's about the size of a lap top. It also has a function that ionizes the air, which is also supposed to be good for your mood.

I've been using it for a about a week now, and haven't really seen any difference in my mood, but I suppose it's one of those things that you have to give time to work.

That's excellent! I like the ionizing function.

My pdoc is insisting I start using my light box again, so I will. They are supposed to have a cumulative effect, so hopefully you'll find benefit after another week or so.
