Any thoughts?

What is your primary dx? I believe both have counterindications for bipolar but a good track record in major depression.

I have a friend who swears by TMS for his MDD and he is very high functioning. But he is also on the max dose of Prozac and in regular therapy.

I do not personally know anyone who has tried ketamine injections. I have read that they can be effective swiftly but not for a long time. You have to continue treatments to maintain the effect which can be expensive.

I have MDD c-ptsd and dissociative disorder, where I leave my body during stressful times.

The latter makes me think that it may not be a good fit. I will talk to my Dr about this.

You have some good information, thank you!

I tried ketamine (nasal inhalant) for 2 wks for severe mood disorder and I'm not sure what it did to me or if it even helped. I just remember when I started running out I freaked out (I think I craved it for some reason) and called my Dr and told him I was suicidal and he never called me back...

My last psychologist talked me into having Ketamine therapy, which I thought was odd since she is not an MD. Besides getting there and leaving, I don't remember it. It is much like a cold water gradient in the ocean, with a submarine under it. It could possibly be there, but it's not on my sonar.

I was trying to be considered for ketamine infusions but the doctors there refused because I dissociated. I had ECT and my memory suffered. That's why I wanted to risk some dissociation and get ketamine.
