I just got two eight-week-old kittens today!!!
My husband and I were at the house working and my parents had left to go get some more paint and stuff,
and when they walked back in my dad looked and me and said, "Tell her (my mom) no, Manda, just tell her no."
Then my mom opened her jacket to reveal a kitten!!!

Needless to say, I didn't say no!!!
And then our friends, Shelby and Mike, came in and I showed them the kitten and my friend, Shelby was all like, "awwww it's a kitty!"
I told her my mom got it outside Wal-Mart for free and Shelby was all like "FREE?!?!" She looked at Mike with pleading eyes and it was decided
they would go get one and I rode with them. While we were driving, Mike told me that cats get bored easily and when they do, they can become annoying. I said jokingly, "so she needs a playmate." We got to Wal-Mart and they had two left, one for Shelby and one for me!!!

Awwww, that's very sweet! Kittens should have companions to grow up with. I tried getting a young kitten after mine was 12 years old, but the elder wouldn't go for it. Shut herself in her carrier [which she ordinarily hates] and wouldn't emerge. "Nobody loves me" was the jist of it. But growing up together. That's gonna be great for them, a carnival for the family. Congrats. billieJ
