Does anyone know the best way to cut a guinea pig's hair if it's all matted at the back and cut a guinea pig's nails?

I would treat the hair as you would any matted hair.... cut it out nearest the body. Best way to clip the nails are to get a good pair of dog clippers.

I cut my guinea's nails with human nail clippers - some dog clippers will be too big and frighten the guinea pig more. Also, if you cut the quick (blood line running through their nail) just dab it with a tissue and talk to them gently. It will hurt you more than it will hurt them.
