Greeting All!

I just had to let everybody know about this amazing dog I have. Her name is Sydney and she came to us about four years ago. She was rescued from an abusive home through the Mid-America Humane Society. The very first time I met her was at a meet and greet at a local pet store. She put her head in my lap and fell asleep. Her foster mother said she was ours! It was part of my Christmas present that year because on the 19th of December of that year my Mom had our dearly loved dog Mozart put down. He was my protector and losing him created a very deep void in my life. Getting Sydney two days after Christmas was the best gift I got that year. She loves to play ball on a daily basis. Even in all this snow she must have her play time outside with the ball. I get out and play ball with her when it is nice enough for me to go out in my wheelchair. This time of year her play time outside is done by my Dad because it is way too yucky for me to get outside. She loves to come greet me every morning with a wagging tail as I get out of bed. Several nights a week she comes into my bed to sleep with me. That is a real challenge because she is a golden retriever/lab mix and weighs over fifty pounds. I only have a twin size hospital bed and she takes up a ton of space! She loves to hog the bed - LOL! She is very camera shy, so taking her picture is almost impossible - LOL! Sydney is very loving and greets everyone who comes to the door. She is also my protector, but a gentle protector at that! When I got sick back in December and needed the paramedics to come to my house, Sydney just laid on my bed while they worked on me. She just had the look on her face like what are you doing to my friend. Thank you for letting me share my story about my wonderful dog!

Thank you very much for allowing me to share my amazing dog with you all
Thanks for this!

Awww! Thank You for sharing! Your dear pet loves you so much! We too have a little guy...Miles (my daughter christened him, not I!), and as we already had a big guy - border collie/golden retriever, I didn't originally want to let another dog into the house.
Well, three years later, poor Teddy our big dog went to doggie heaven, so the best thing that ever happened to me was to have Miles to walk. You are so right that a dog is the most loyal pet you could have.
Thanks for sharing your lovely story with me, you made me smile!
