So I have an adorable 2 year old cat named Lenny. However, he keeps peeing on this one spot on the floor. Even after he's been in the litter box. Any suggestions about what I can do?

The first thing I recommend is, get a specific cleaner for pet urine. Even though we can't smell it, animlas can and they tend to go in the same spot. There could also be other reasons your cat is doing this - he might be marking his territory since you have another cat. He might also be sick, maybe with a UTI infection.

My dog was 2 and fully trained when she started to pee in the house. I took a urine sample to the vet and she has a severe infection and bladder stones. SHe couldn't control her passing of urine. So you may have to take Lenny for a check up. When a person has a trained cat or dog that all of a sudden starts urinating - this usually isn't a bahavior or training problem. Hope this helps.

I actually have to take him to the vet for his shots. I should ask the vet about an infection. Thanks!

I feel like we've used so many of those cleaners for cat urine. Nothing seems to work.
Thanks for this!

Cat urine is very hard to get rid of. When we moved to our house 12 yrs ago, the previous owner let the cats pee in many different areas of the house. It was so bad in some spots that when we removed the carpet, the wood floor underneath had urine on it, so we had to cut out that part and put new wood down.

Ask the vet which cleaner he recommends and try if you can to block the part he favors. If you have a male and he's not neutered he might be doing territorial peeing. Good luck with the vet appt.

neutered? sometimes that is the problem
litter box clean..not just the litter but the box itself..
did you change the type of litter..sometimes that sets off cats too

check for infection

there is a type of cleaner called "KOE" that is very good..not available in stores..usually on line..works better than most stuff..very concentrated...

(kennel odor eliminator)

good luck

stumpy

get him to a vet; he's telling you somethings wrong and male cats are notorious for getting urinary tract infections from the wrong kind of food.

if it's a LOT of pee, he might be diabetic. But the vet can tell you this.
