Every so often, my dog, Stewy, attacks my feet. This evening he was growling and grabbing my shoe, attacking my feet big time. AJ's dog came over and looked at me then at Stewy. He walked over to Stewy and nudged him to stop. He didn't bark or growl.. He just nudged Stewy and of course Stewy stopped attacking my feet. Was the cutest thing ever .. Stewy just ran and sat on the sofa.. Was just toooo cute.. AJ's dog correcting my dog..

Isn't that something? It's like he was saying, don't be a child, quit being a dummy, don't embarrass us dogs in front of the humans! This just isn't done! The dog has taste, manners, and refinement. I'm not kidding, I could see it in my neighbor's dog, he was something. He understood me better than my mother did. What a great story, RF.

Oh.....I love that you told that story, RF. It shows the churnings of a dog's mind and the little hierarchys that exist within. I've just adopted another greyhound and while I haven't that particular story to share, it has been fascinating to watch how these two are adapting to each other. Little acts of politeness (waiting their turn at the water bowl) and each trying nicely to promote themselves a bit above each other. When one leaves a bed, the other rather nonchalantly moves in to take it over. I bought a large crate (first time I've needed to use one) and because one goes in it from time to time (just to hang out with the door open) the other thinks it's a hot piece of real estate and moves in as soon as the first one vacates it. They're making me laugh with all their antics. I could go on all night, but I'm sure you all have other things to do.......
