I think my dog Jeff understands how I feel better than any person. Jeff is a medium to large mutt that was abandoned as a puppy on a country road. Over the past three years he has been such a friend. He always sinces my moods. If I am irratated he keeps his distance, but never gets to far away. He just kind of hangs out waiting to see if I want him for anything. When I am feeling sad, he comes to me in and sits right next to me quietly. He will follow me around however he will not be aggresively friendly. When I am busy like doing yard work he sits out of the way and comes to me anytime he notices I am taking a break. When I am in a good mood he always knows and will be very playful. I always take time out for Jeff even when I don't feel like it, because he deserves it. While Jeff is always there for me, he never judges me. My wife has been way more supportive than I deserve. But I know sometimes I am too much for her to take. Jeff though just takes everything in stride and loves me unconditionally. If you suffer a mood disorder as myself, I highly recomend that you find a Jeff for yourself.

Thanks for this!

Hi- Thanks for sharing that. You will find many dog lovers here who I'm sure feel that same connection to their dogs including me.

My friends Moxie, Stollen and now Star are all the same. Each one supports me in their own ways. As I read what you wrote I thought how each puppy fills different needs and handles situations differently.

I can't imagine life without my pets.

Thanks for sharing about Jeff.

Oh, animals can be so supportive and theraputic. I love my dogs and my horses/ponies. I have no doubt that animals DO LOVE US.

Welcome to PC Coolwater 66,
Thank you for sharing your experience and it was so wonderful to read how you have taken to each other. As I know my relation with my pups has been over the years and now, as much as I am here for them, they give me so much more back in return.
