I am still not so sure how to do the thread thing. All I know is that you need 5 to make a safe start. So I hope this is how you do and if not well at least I get an oppertunity to meet some of yall.
I am officially horse crazy. The horse show is visiting in the city nearby. I am seldom happy but today I am. I've spent the day with my daughter (4yrs old) at the horse show. Thats where I used to spend all my waking hours. Horse shows, barns, lessons, there was always a horse within my reach. I must have been the only girl who smelled like a horse or a barn and had that be my fragrence of choice. I owned an Arabian for 20 years. He died 2 years ago at age 24. He was my best friend and he took all my secrets with him to horse heaven. Now I have a mini horse. He's tiny and sweet. He doesn't eat much and has endless love to give. Since I have 3 kids and no time a mini is perfect. He's just like a dog only he doesn't bark. |

When I saw "Horse crazy" I thought for a moment this might be a post by my daughter. She is horse crazy. Will do anthing to be around horse. She had two but had to sell them due to upkeep.
You can't be anymore crazy than some of us are about our pets. I refer to my dog as my grand dogger (no grandchildren yet). So very glad you had a good day yesterday. If it was possible yeterday it can be possible today. Have a good one! |

I always used to think there ought to be a fragrance called 'eau de pony' (still do really, the smell of a warm horses neck is heaven)
I have one horse now, my 'baby' (the horse that I had had from when he was 4yrs old, and flew halfway accross the world when I emigrated) died in January, I still really miss him. He was really a glorified lawn mower as he never really liked being ridden (when I got on him he 'lost' me and went into a panic!) but we spent hours together and had lots of cuddles. He got me through some of my darkest moments. I think once that horses get into your blood they never leave it. Splitz. |

Hi Big Mama, welcome!
You're post took me down memory lane. I was horse crazy as a kid. Got involved in the business as an adult. For awhile my husband and I bred Quarter Horses. I taught riding and trained. We showed hunters. Boarded other people's horses. Physical problems made me get out of the business about 10 years ago. I still have a couple and ride for pleasure. Thanks for your post. It brought back a lot of pleasant memories about showing. |
