I feel compelled to share this here because I know that if you're reading PC then you already have enough problems in your life. Even though I don't have any pets since I'm allergic to all fuzzies I still care about them and I don't want anyone here losing his or her best friend.

If anything it's a moving image of a man comforting his dog as it's passing away. The dog ate tainted Waggin' Train treats made by Nestle Purina PetCare Co. There's lots of info about the tainted treats in the comments. There hasn't been a recall and apparently these toxic treats are still on store shelves.

If you have any other pet safety tips please add them here. I feel that helping a pet, helps at least two lives, the pet and person owned by the pet.
