My cat is driving me crazy!! If I'm at the kitchen sink he will lay down on my feet. If I'm sitting at the desk and working on the computer he'll lay down on my feet and rest his head on my foot and rest on of his paws on my foot, as if he's trying to take possession of my foot.

It sounds like he is fond of you. Have you recently moved house? Sometimes a cat will get like that if he is in an unfamiliar area.

Your cat is either really needy or your feet just smell great. I used to have a cat that would like to stick her head in my shoes or slippers. When I was in bed I put my feet onto of the blankets and she would lick my toes. Felt rather funny cos cats have rough tongues.

Otherwise get a cardboard box. Cut some holes in it. Put a jingly ball in it and let her play with that while you are busy.

If you don't want her around your feet so much, put some orange oil near the base of the sink or on something near the base of you computer. Cats do not like the smell of oranges. Then find an old slipper that has your smell on it and reward the cat what it curls up with that.

Or maybe its is lonely and getting another cat might give her some-one else to play with. Otherwise just get used to his feline ways.

Good Luck.

He sounds like he likes to cuddle with you. Can you distract him when you are in the kitchen? It's annoying and dangerous when they get under foot in the kitchen. As for laying on your feet at the computer. That's some of the best cuddle time I have with my cats. They each want some lap time when I'm at the computer. Instead of viewing it as annoying, could you see it as a positive thing that he wants to spend time with you?

When he pees on you, he owns you!

In the meantime, give the little dude lovies and try not to accidentally kick him in the dark or stumble over him and hurt yourself!

Once,I found my cat asleep with her face in my sneakers. I think she was embarrassed that I found her that way!

I have had more than one cat do this. The cat loves you!

it might be worth looking at specialist books / texts or talking to experts if you want to know more. it doesn't sound like you are too bothered but you can always go ahead and arm yourself with knowledge, there might be a simple cause for the moggies behaviour.

i'm a nearly 30-year old guy and i love my kitty to bits. prob go a bit OTT and fuss over her like a lil baby or something.

.... My cat once peed on my arm when he was smaller -_- He marked his territory lol. I am glad that was the first, and only time he's done that... He did that to my boyfriend also. One time, same spot as me. I think he literally did mark his territory on us... O.o So gross lol, but he's the cutest cat ever, so I couldn't ever get mad at him :P
