And her name is Mandy!!!! She is adorable She weighs 100 pounds 2 ounces and is five years old. She was a breeder mom for a breeder of minni dachshunds about three hours from me! My mom actually has two dogs that she got as puppies from there. I am so excited! She comes home Saturday. So not including today that is 3 days!!

I also have a four year old black lab named Sophie. She is also my service dog. She is crosstrained in guide dog work, seizure response, and wheelchair stuff like opening doors, the fridge, turning light switches on and off and retreiving stuff i drop. Sophie is gping to love having a sister to play with!

Oooohhhh, a new doggie! I'm so happy for you and Sophie! Mandy is a great name, too.

You can upload photos to the Photos section here (or another website), then click on the little image icon (where you see the buttons to add bold, italics, underscore, font size and color, and links) and paste the URL into the textarea that pops up to insert the photo. To locate the Photos section, scroll all the way to the top of the page where you see the Psych Central logo (Learn. Share. Grow.), look immediately below it, and you'll see a menu in a light tan color, which has links to "Home," "Conditions," "Quizzes," etc., and then, immediately under that is another links menu, that starts with "Forums," "Social Groups," "Blogs," and a little further over is "Photos." Click on that and choose, 'Upload Photos.' Hope this helps! If I confused you, sorry...I try to help, but I sometimes get muddled in the details.

Anyway, can't wait to see photos of Mandy (and Sophie if you have them)!

Recently, I heard on TV that 50% of the U.S.'s pets are obese. I know people look at a fat cat or dog (or any animal) and find it humorous, but I do not. I knew a dog that was obese (but well-loved), and the poor thing struggled to walk and move. She also breathed heavily a lot. I really want to get into a movement to help stop pet obesity.

I am thinking you meant 10 pounds??? I have two minis and each weighs around 12 pounds..they are probably too fat but I dont care! They are wonderful dogs and lots of fun! They do bark quite a bit, well at least mine do!! but I love them to death and you will too!! Cute name too.
