So I was wondering if I was alone in nicknaming my cats.

Foster has Foss, Fozzie, Fossey, Fuzz, Lt. Fuzz, Fostun, Little man, Whiner, JangleTail, Can't Get Right (from the movie Life, he is good at hitting balls like CGR), Honey, Mr. Bojangles, and Baby

Salem has Slim, Skipper, Skips, Salump (my nephew calls him that), Dr. Slim, Say-Say, Big Boy, Jynx, Senator Skip, Hopping Boss, Star, Emperor, Honey bun, puddin', and Sir Salem.

Surprisingly, they know which name means which one. Foster even gets upset if I am talking softly to him and mention one of Salem's nicknames.

What are some of your nicknames for your pets?

Oh boy..... glad we're not the only ones who have funny nicknames. My dog's name is Bella, but we call her Dowgy, Doog, Dawwg, Baby Bella, Smoochie Pooh and "what's her name" and "D O G" spelled out when we don't want her to know we're talking about her. She's too smart and knows when we're talking about who's turn it is to feed her or take her out. She knows them all now and oldest daughter uses secret code IPod lol.

Oh, no, you're not alone at all! (Frankly, if I were the only one, I'd be fine with that, but it is nice to know there are others who feel all cozy inside when addressing their animals with cutesy names!)

Loki is (The) Loke, Lokistar, Loki-Boom-Boki, Lokibrat, Baby, Honey, Sweetie, Sweetstuff, Sweetheart, Sweets, The Best, The Bestest One, Bestest Birdie, My Birdy-Bird, Qwerty Bird (QWERTY are the first six letters on the keyboard; I'm a typist and couldn't think of a rhyme to one of the many silly poems I make up for Loki, so I started calling him that), Sugar Pie, Sweetie Pie, Sugar, and a bunch more!

The have quite a few nicknames but the most common are:

Sophi - Soph, Sopherina, Fifi, and "The Phee" as she is so independent and standoff-ish at times.

Quirky (puppy still) - Quirk, Quirkster, "Oh ****", and all time favorite b/c it amazes me: "Burr-ito". She is little and manages to collect every burr in the woods each walk; how her coats attracts them so astounds me.

and then to get their attention when they are playing or just to call both of them, they are "Critters".

Shattered Sanity, I had a cat who showed up at my house one day, and I tried giving him the name Oscar, but he didn't seem interested. After that, his name was "Kitty"!

I'm not as creative as you folks. Misty is sometimes called "Miss Puss," "Baby Doll, " "Sweetie," or "Misteroo."

Astra the dog is "Miss Pooch" or "Babe."
