I call him Rick.

I recently purchased a Menito Del Monte

The Menito del monte of South America is a marsupial, thought to have arrived from Australia long ago. It’s tiny – only about 5″ full grown. They are nocturnal and carnivorous, and famous for their unusual tail, which can store enough fat to make this little pipsqueak double in size. This allows them to go for long periods without food.

Yes, a little 5 inch mammal that stores fat in its tail to allow it to subsist for long periods without eating. I've hit the jackpot.
Thanks for this!

You can buy these things? I've never heard of nor seen one. Cute, but I'd be scared if it bites like possum says.

He is fully grown now and I take him shopping. I take a grape from the fruit shops and he nibbles on it for the entire outing. Then we get home and he smells like grapes.
