By day he's cute enough, but he sleeps outside my window and he makes all these demonic sounds late at night or early in the morning, it's like the sound a demon would make if it were impaled on its own trident, recorded and played in reverse.

Scares me.

It sounds like he suffers from nightmares, poor pig.
Please see to it that he doesn't eat anything close to bed time. It also helps if he does something relaxing before he goes to sleep. Perhaps you can give him a warm, affectionate hug before bed time?
How is his fiber intake lately?

I will consider all these options.

His fiber intake is pretty good although I think he could use more riboflavin so it might be the sleep thing. I will give him a hug before tucking him in tonight and see if this eases his symptoms.
