Does it bother anyone else that people who make movies apparently think we are unobservant idiots? I understand that they have to use different animals for different scenes, but can't they at least use animals that look alike??? I'm watching the movie Secretariat. I've lost count of the different facial markings on the horses in different scenes. What would be so freaking difficult to use some hair coloring to be sure the markings are accurate??

LOLLLLL.
That definitely bothers me. I guess they figure 'heh, no one's going to notice anyway.' But wasn't that kind of a popular film? hmm.....ugh.....lol |

Nah, you're not an unobservant idiot.
George, did you watch Star Trek the Next Generation? One of the characters, Data, had a cat. In different episodes Spot, the cat, was several different patterns of orange marmalade, tabby and calico. He even underwent a sex change and had a litter of kittens in one episode. Watching western TV shows and movies I bugs the snot out of me when horses change color from scene to scene. |

Liz I haven't owned a tv since 2005 and the only channel I ever watched then was PBS. Guess that makes me an elitist unobservant idiot lol. I am very good at spotting lip synching and things like that

I have noticed this too. Very often with horses I have seen them use different breeds for the same one in the film just the same colour. Theres a big difference in the build of most breeds. Its a bug of mine.
