I didn't know I was gona order tarantulas today

I had the idea in the middle of the night

I ordered....

1 Brachypelma boehmei (Mexican Fire Leg) .25 inch

1 Brachypelma emilia (Mexican Red Leg) .25 inch

2 Brachypelma vagans (Mexican Red Rump) .25 inch

I have a live guarantee also, if any die, I get a free re-ship.

I like to buy tarantulas when they are tiny because its fun to watch them grow.

I have to admit that tarantulas give me the willies. I think they're cool and all. And spiders are quite fond of me. But I can't go there. I've had friends with tarantulas but to be honest I don't think I could even bring myself to touch one, even if it was devenomed (which of course they are if they're being sold for domestic purposes).

tarantulas are no de-venomed

u can take away a spiders venom without killing it

even the tarantulas with the most potent venom, cant kill a human

worse case sinario, if it bites u in the hand, your entire arm will feel like its in hot grease, for hours, u will have to go to hospital for pain

but most tarantulas just cuase minor pain and swelling

Cool! Years ago my folks retired to a house in the desert and that first year we were sitting around outside when tarantulas suddenly started dropping out of trees and scittering across the deck. Come to find out we were in a migratory zone during their breeding cycle. I was the only one who thought it was kind of an awesome unexpected perk of their real estate decision.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info. It doesn't make me warm up to them any more though.

I seriously...do not know if I would have made it out of that experience in one piece, mentally...
