I would have a problem if my husband and son became unavailable too. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere without Amy so getting ill is not an option. If I can't take her with me, I don't go. The big dogs are okay on their own though. They would miss me but as long as they get fed they would cope.

To be honest, I don't even know who would take care of our kids. We have nearly ZERO support structure. I've had to go to the hospital before and while they were trying to figure out what was wrong with me, my wife had to call everyone on Earth to find someone to watch our children just for the night.

Since we leave food and water out for them, our dogs would be in much better shape than us humans. Weird.
