Ok she isn't mine but she chose to bring her kitten here and move in the garage last year. The kitten was adopted out through an adoption program and she was fixed and vaccinated. She's never been friendly with the other adoptees... or me for that matter lol. I can tell sometimes she'd like to be but she never quite managed to do it. She is a homebody so being missing for 3 days doesn't sound good. I can't say I liked her but I cared about her well-being.

I'm so sorry, George. I had an outdoor guy like that who would go missing but we had a relationship (even if my husband did nickname him "p-i-s-s-o-f-f" because of his perceived attitude toward us) and I would wander around the neighborhood calling him. Our next door neighbor had an outdoor cat and put a cat door in his garage door (the people door into the garage from outside their kitchen, not the huge garage door for cars) and my cat I have now was found on a shelf in that garage, a stray. But my point is that I usually would find him "trapped" somewhere; he'd get in and not able to get out of someplace. I made it so our basement door could not close entirely and trap him (nail in the door jam/frame) and would check our shed, etc. Just calling usually got an answering meow eventually.

Ah, the independent but captivating ferals. I always feel like I can completely understand where they are coming from, wanting to be cared for but( hiss) can't bring the selves to have that much trust.
I sure hope she is OK and comes back to let you know it.

She is a very territorial cat and very much a homebody. I don't think she left for greener pastures.

Oh, George I know how you feel. I lost two of mine in the years past and it was tough. Perhaps her mission in life was to come and share some love and then move on to the next place where she is needed?

Hugs and Smiles one of mine gone missing

I found her. She was shut u in the neighbor's garage. I'm sure she wasn't there all the time. She may be a little thinner but not as thin as she would be if she'd gone this long w/o eating. And she could not have gone this long w/o water. She was very happy to get out of that garage tho and very eager to come back. She's very whiny and clingy now which is odd for a semi-feral cat who won't be touched
On a sad note one of the newer strays apparently had a kitten. I saw it last week in the fenced in section by the garage. Pretty little Siamese kitten that was obviously fathered by the Siamese cat who hung out here for a few weeks and disappeared. I never got a chance to get close to him. I hadn't seen the kitten this week so I looked in the no-mans land corner of the garage where all kittens have hidden before. I found him but he was dead
Now I need to trap the mother and have her fixed.

Oh George, I'm so glad you found her! I bet she's clingy because she knows you saved her.

I'm so sorry about the kitten. Thank you for planning to have the momma cat spayed.

2 of my 10 cats went missing from a house fire we had in December. The not knowing is what drives you crazy. I hope yours turns up. Don't lose hope.

Glad you found her, George. I know it makes you feel better. Sorry about the little kitten, that is a shame. I think siamese are such beautiful animals with their blue eyes. Thank you for taking in strays, at least they have place to call home.
