So in the past I have tried dried cat nip. I was at the pet store today and they had fresh cat nip so I decided to try it and see what it did. I gave a few leaves to Charlie and Chloe. Charlie turned into a kitten and was flying through the air after the toys. Chloe didn't really seem to change. Maybe I will try more for her next time. It is only too bad that I don't have anywhere but the kitchen where they can't get it and my kitchen doesn't have any windows so don't know how long it will last. But it was so funny watching him leap through the air.

It's always fun to watch the cats respond to catnip! Maybe some cats are not susceptible to it's effects but most are. Go ahead and try just a bit more of it with Chloe and see what happens.

We used to have a female cat we called "Stoner Kitty" when she got catnip. Instead of running around acting maniacal she got this dopey expression and stared off into space. It was funny. Made me think of Cheech and Chong.

I can't keep a catnip plant in the house. They chew it down to a nub in a few hours. I have a stash of dried catnip in the cupboard. I sprinkle it around for the crew once or twice a month. They run and play until they are exhausted.

The dry catnip hasn't seemed to do anything for them. I gave Chloe a little more catnip than last night tonight to see if it would do anything. But nothing so far. I didn't let them have a free go at the plant b/c i knew that would end up with them eating the whole thing.

Charlie was so funny last night leaping through the air like he was a kitten again.

Not all dried nip is created equal. The nip I get from the co-op must be a much better kind cause my guy needs a lot less of it.

Some cats go for the nip, some don't. Harold used to get completely blasted on it. He would be purring and rolling around, drooling on himself. That was one messed up kitty.

I miss Harold.
