So what are y'all getting your furry family members for Christmas?

I got the cats some cardboard scratching boards and some toys that dangle from a stick. I'll sprinkle some cat nip on their toys too.

Ivan, the dog, will get a can of dog food. He's not big on toys to play with and normally only gets dry food to eat.

The horses will get carrots.

Do you wrap your pets' presents? I had a dog when I was a kid who knew which present was hers regardless what we got her. She would leave the present alone while it was under the tree, but had a grand time tearing the paper (no ribbons!) off when we gave it to her.

Hey!

I have two dogs and we bought them a 6 way running tunnel for them They love chasing each other and play fighting so thought it would add to the fun! Yes we wrapped it and will open it with them on Christmas day...can't wait to set it up for them in the garden.

I am also looking for a Christmas jumper for them...but not too thick as I don't want them to be too hot! Or maybe a santa costume.

I will also be buying them some of their favourite treats and will be going for a forest walk (which we all enjoy!) will be on the agenda Christmas day too!

I am making my kitties a blanket that they can have to curl up in if they get cold. I'm knitting it. It is a slow process as I don't have a lot of tie, but I hope they like it.

I'd like to get The Dog a bed of his own. He's not supposed to sleep on the furniture (not my rule) and I find evidence he's been on the couch some mornings. I feel like a bad parent for not getting him one sooner.

The cats are going to get "mouseys" and balls to chase around that are kept in a container with catnip.

My two have everything they need and don't play with toys, so I don't know if they will get anything except maybe some treats. But I do need to come up with something for my daughter's two dogs, since they always get my two something.

Christmas Day I gave them large soup bones as a treat. We celebrated Christmas at New Year's though this year and the dogs got two new cans of tennis balls and a throwing stick for them from their grandparents, much appreciated. My brother sent them a new really long industrial tug rope that they are absolutely fascinated with, goes with at least one of them somewhere now/everywhere.

I got them a ball that I can hide treats/dog food in, releases them as they roll it, can't think of what it is called. They also got some vegetable based chew sticks. Can't forget the fish: they got freeze dried blood worms for a treat (sounds yummy, huh? ); they sure love them and gobble them up. Once a week will be the most they can have these though going forward.

However,New Years Day in the evening, they got a SUPER treat much to my dismay. The puppy got an extra treat for the dogs. I made beef tenderloin for a house full of guests. It was resting after cooking on the back of the counter, the puppy snatched it, first time she has pulled stuff off the counter (now I know) and by the time I found it, she and the others were actually sharing it. Very expensive treat for them and awkward New Year's Day, with making do with chicken I had in the freezer for my guests. (((((Shakes head.)))) Lesson learned.

Fresia, it's a good thing we love 'em, otherwise we'd kill 'em, eh? I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but makes a great story!

So so true, have always said, it's no wonder animals and children were made so darn cute and just so loveable; just don't always have to like them.
