So I figured an update on my life. Since I (usually) like talking about my pets. Well, I would talk about good stuff - but this month has been anything else BUT good for my furry friends.
1. Adopted two rats off Kijiji December 23rd - Luci & Charlie. Both over a year old, given away for free. Both flipping adorable. This is the ONLY number on the list that's a positive. Just a forewarning. 2. January 2nd - Both Luci & Charlie go to the vet. Both have upper respiratory infections (URIs) which are common in rats. Both get meds. Luci is definitely the worst off of the two of them. 3. January 8th - Wake up, to find that my rabbit Esther has a major head tilt, so she gets carted off to the vet that day. Diagnosed with an inner ear infection. Gets meds. 4. January 12th - Esther goes to the vet again because I didn't see enough improvement and I was out of meds. 5. January 27th - Wake up to my rat Luci gasping for air, unable to breathe properly. Have to get him euthanized. 6. January 28th (today) - Esther has another vet appointment for more meds this afternoon. Hopefully the vet doesn't recommend euthanasia. We shall see. In conclusion, this last month has SUCKED and I want it to end already. I've taken off two days this month to cart animals to the vet. I seriously hate my life. My poor cute rugrats. So as of right now - I've got Charlie, wonder rat. Esther Bunny, the head-tilty rabbit. And my two foster rats - Ben & Rupert. Who are thankfully doing WELL, as compared to the rest of my entire furry household.

I'm sorry you have had such a rough month. Pets can bring such joy but can also bring great sorrow. Sorry about Luci.

That sounds so hard to deal with. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope that everyone starts getting better soon. |

 7. Esther the rabbit is being euthanized tomorrow. January 29. Twenty one days since this whole situation with her getting sick started.

Christina, it seems that this sort of bad luck comes in waves. It's overwhelming while it's happening. I'm so sorry for you and your critters.
