I hate it when I'm kind to my dog or there is a charity for animals and someone says, " people treat their dogs better than people. Or people care about homeless dogs more than people." Umm I care for both. Since when does helping one group mean you are taking away from another? I've heard the same thing about donating to kids that are hungry in third world countries. Someone will say there are hungry kids in the US. If we use this reasoning we would never help any group because there will always be other worthy causes. My question is, why be critical of someone doing good? There are a lot of people in the world all with our own unique passions and abilities and we contribute.
The worst thing anyone ever asked me was did I just decide to have a dog instead of kids. I can't have kids. I just told her no. I would have had a dog and kids,if it were possible, thank you very much. Also, I donate to human and animal charities but it's none of anybody's business. Lately, I think people are just rude.

I agree, it sounds like you've been around quite a few rude people lately.
Usually when I say a dog has it better than me it's because she's sitting on the couch and I'm on the floor. ![]()
